Educational Assistance for Children in Ethiopia

What we DO

Wubet Ethiopia provides funding for children in Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia, to attend school. We provide funding for uniforms, food, books and materials, computers, everything a child would need to succeed.

Before we started, our primary school, Miaza 23, was only able to educate about 15 children a year. The largest limiting factor was the ability to feed their students. With our help Miaza 23 has been able to serve 55 students a year.

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to be able to provide education to 400 children a year. With your help we can collect the funding necessary to make our goal a success.

OUR STORY

"Wubet Ethiopia was created support the education of children in one of the most impoverished areas of the world. It is proven that the only way to successfully lift a community out of disparity is through education; where people can learn of the opportunities this world can provide. This is what we are trying to achieve; we are trying to lift the community by educating children and providing them an opportunity to grow intellectually and compete globally so they can grow to support themselves, their families, and make the world a better place.

Our primary school is called Miaza 23. I went to Miaza 23 when I was a child in Addis Ababa with dreams of building a business and being successful. Through hard work and a bit of luck I was able to build a successful parking management company in Chicago called TBF Parking. This has provided me with the opportunity to give back and support the school that helped me get here. "
